Please take a look at this exercise taken from Zuntz’s course, lesson 9:
a) We are strong through excellence (virtues).
Ἀρεταῖς ἰσχύομεν.
b) Excellence is (the) highest good.
Ἡ ἀρετὴ μέγιστον ἀγαθόν ἐστιν.
c) Honor and excellence are (the) highest goods (the greatest of goods).
Ἡ τιμὴ καὶ ἡ ἀρετὴ μέγιστα ἀγαθῶν εἰσιν.
d) The wisdom of this philosopher is very great.
Ἡ σοφία ἡ τοῦδε τοῦ φιλοσόφου μάλα μακρά ἐστιν.
e) What is man? a shadow.
Τί ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθρωπος; Σκιά ἐστιν.
f) We are delighted by divine utterances.
Χαίρομεν φήμαις θείαις.
g) (In) these days, evil (neut. pl.) is strong.
Ἐν ταῖσδε ταῖς ἡμέραις τὰ κακὰ ἰσχύει.
h) God is the soul of the world.
Θεός ἐστιν ἡ τοῦ κόσμου ψυχή.
