why this strange word order with περὶ τὸ σῶμα wrongly placed

μάλα δὲ καλὰ ἦν καὶ ἁρμόττοντα αὐτῷ ἃ ὁ πάππος περὶ τὸ σῶμα ἐπεποίητο
would not it be better:
μάλα δὲ καλὰ ἦν καὶ ἁρμόττοντα περὶ τὸ σῶμα αὐτῷ ἃ ὁ πάππος ἐπεποίητο
it looks like a scribal error.

περὶ τὸ σῶμα applies not to ἁρμόττοντα but to ἐπεποίητο (the things that his grandpa had ordered to be made around his body, i.e. to fit around his body). The word order is good.
