The site says they were compromised on 4/7. That’s three weeks ago. The latest version (hopper) doesn’t work at all, and the earlier version croaks about every other page. Any news from there?

These days such attacks are usually automated. A whole range of addresses are trawled through.
I sure hope so. It may be they’re concerned about contamination in the backups. At the very least they shouldn’t recover to the state they were in before the break-in — they need to know that it just isn’t going to be undermined again.
I’m guessing we’re not going to get to see the forensic report.

Hmm. Not really a good single desription.
Any reading on “security scanning” would be good, since the same tools can be used either with either benign or malign intent. Given the way Perseus has responded to the undefined problem, my guess is it was a remote privilege escalation.
We can still use the lexicon tool.
Oh, it is not working either, 
It’s been working again for the last few days now. I use the morphological tool all the time for wierd forms I run into in GNT MSS. I was elated when it started working again!
