Although at gunpoint I prefer deaf composers and blind poets to Bach, it’s just as you said - magic.
I own one CD by Kavakos, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. It’s unfortunately almost unplayable, at least in a flat with other family members, because of the way it’s mixed. To hear Kavakos play the violin you have to turn the volume so high that when the orchestra joins him, it becomes so loud that you immediately reach for the volume button again. This recording of yours is great, so thanks!
