The word voice (sound made by the human mouth) came from the old French voiz, from the Latin vocem from vox (voice, sound), which is related to the greek verb βοώ (shout, cry for, say something with strong voice; voo) and its aeolic form (fut.) βώξω (voxo).

In Greek
α) βοώ: shout [voo]
β) βοήσω (μέλλοντας): shout (future) [voico]
γ) βοή: noise, clamour [voi]

your etymological interpretation is rather awkward…

Latin “vox” relates to ancient Greek words having the root/stem “Fep*-” like “έπος”, “Καλλι-όπη”, “ειπείν”, “συν-έπεια” etc, etc…

Greek words with “β” are written in Latin with “b”, not with “v”.
