Orberg in LLPSI Cap XLI scibit:
Hercules in ea loca, Geryone monstro interempto, boves mira specie egisse narratur ac prope Tiberim fluvium, quem prae se armentum agens nando transierat, fessus via in herba recubuisse.
Hercules, in these parts, Geryon the monster having been killed, was said to have drove the magical, beautiful cattle and near the river Tiber, across which he had driven them, swimming, to lie exhausted amongst the grass on the road.
Not sure about ‘fessus via in herba…’
