Verbs - Best Reference Guides?

I would love to get peoples opinion on investing in a good Verb Reference Guide. I use the “Big Gold Book of Latin Verbs”… There doesn’t appear to be one for Greek.

The one I’m leaning toward at this time is “All the Greek Verbs” by N. Marione. The only drawback I see is it’s in Italian.

Any thoughts out there as to Greek Verb Reference Guides?

Thanks,

Mark

Though I don’t own a copy of Tutti I Verbi Greci (or whatever it’s called), I don’t think it matters what language it’s in. It basically lists every tricky form of greek verbs, and refers you to the correct first person singular present form so you can look it up in a proper lexicon. I think you could use it even if it was written in Jacaltec.

The best set of paradigm charts on the internet, in my opinion, are the ones at http://socrates.berkeley.edu/~ancgreek/paradigmsU/paradigms_U.html, though this is strictly Attic Greek. For Homeric Greek, you’d have to refer to Pharr.

The “Tutti I Verbi Greci” has been reprinted in an English version by Duckworth under the name of “All the Greek Verbs”.

Vecchi and Sacchi’s “Verbi Greci” (ISBN 88-433-0402-X) lists almost twice as many forms as Marinone’s text.

Could you please tell me where it can be bought from, in case there is a modern printing.

I was pretty excited to hear about it too, I didn’t know it existed. It’s available on abebooks:

Is it in the same format as “All the Greek Verbs”? (I always suspected that was a misleading name…)

Pretty much. “Verbi Greci” adds a fourth column showing the lexical word’s meaning - in Italian.
