Verb Conjugation - Attic vs Homeric

I found a nice IOS app called “Hoplite Challenge” that quizzes on verb conjugations, based on Hansen & Quinn. I’m focused on learning Homeric Greek to start and see that Hansen & Quinn is Attic Greek. Are there differences in verb conjugation between Homeric & Attic greek?

At present, I’m just at Indicative, Active Present (& Imperfect), Future and Past verbs in Pharr Lessons 9 & 10.

One thing to note, which might otherwise lead to confusion, is that the augment (past tense marker, as in e.g. ἔπαυον imperfect and ἔπαυσα aorist) is not always used in Homeric Greek. Of course there are various other differences too.

Thanks, mwh.

Going back to Pharr, I did see that there was a mention “Because Homeric Greek often omits the augment and because verbs outside the indicative (as well as other verbal forms, such as participles) do not use augments, you should make sure you know the unaugmented stem of a verb in the past tense of the indicative.” It’s still hard for me to discern where bits in the Pharr lessons and Grammar back sections are “of interest” vs “essential to understanding”.

Using a tool at https://bridge.haverford.edu/select/Greek/ I found that, of the 125 verbs in H&S, 99 appear in The Iliad. That doesn’t quite tell me if the Principle Parts and their conjugations are the same.

It’s not so troublesome if, in focusing on Homeric Greek, using Attic Greek apps gives me a few inapplicable forms. I’m just looking to see if there are any major differences in the rules or formulas by which Attic and Homeric Greek conjugate verbs.
