i am thinking of getting a couple of tattoos and would like to have them be in greek because it looks prettier than english. plus the meaning would be known to me and not necessarily others because i mean them to be a reminder to me.

could you let me know if these are the correct greek translations of the following english phrases? thanks all

the power of inertia=
η δύναμη της αδράνειας
or
δύναμη αδράνειας

what is gone, is gone=
αυτό που έχει φύγει, έχει φύγει
or
what is past, is past=
αυτό που είναι παρελθόν, είναι παρελθόν

I guess all this is wrong, η της αδρανειας δύναμις would mean probably the power of weakness

If you want a modern Greek tattoo, the quickest way to a Greek native speaker in your area might be to find the local Greek Orthodox church and ask the priest there what he thinks of your plan.
