Does anybody know what the translation of “you” would be into Latin. I haven’t encountered it in the book I’m using yet and dictionaries don’t give me any answers.
Is it like the adjective “tuus”, only treated as a noun? That’s the only idea I can come up with. Help if you can.
Edit: Also, is there a difference between nominative and accusative?
Isn’t it just tua? I mean I’m a noob but I’m sure that’s it. Hmm someone will clarify no doubt.
There are two second-person personal pronouns, and their nominative forms are tu for the singular and vos for the plural. If you look up personal pronouns in any textbook or grammar you will see the proper declensions.
Discipulus is right on; these correspond to English thou and you — “thou,” of course, has fallen out of usage, but it’s orthographically similar to “tu.”
