I’ve recently acquired a ‘gmail’ account. For those of you who don’t know, gmail is the new email service provided by google. But at the moment it’s invite-only. This is taken directly from the website:
A Google approach to email.
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:
Search, don’t sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.
Don’t throw anything away.
1000 megabytes of free storage so you’ll never need to delete another message.
Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.
No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest
If anyone wants an invite, I have 5 left so just post your email address. This might not apply to anyone, but I thought I’d offer
You guys may want to give out your email addresses in private. Spammers just have to search (using google?) “@hotmail.com” or “@yahoo.com” and they will have your addresses in the results if you posted it on a searchable webpage. Then again, if you switch to gmail it might not matter what happens to your other address
I am forever winning several million dollars in lotteries for which I have not bought tickets, and then there are all those incredibly rich people who want my help to get their billions out of the country. I would then get a measly 2 or 3 million for my efforts.
Wait a minute…maybe this is not spam but honest to goodness money waiting to be picked up. I gotta go. Now.
Hehehe, with all these new accounts being handed out anyone who wants one will probably only have to wait a bit… after a while everyone will be offered to invite some friends and then everyone will have invitations to hand out.
