Tilde accent over iota?

χαίρετε,

What accent does the tilde character, seen over the iota in the word below, indicate when using the Greek Word Study Tool?

ἀγνοεῖς

Is it a normal Greek accent or peculiar to the word study tool?
Thanks.

It’s a version of the circumflex. Some fonts use the one that looks like a half circle, some use the one that looks like a tilde. It’s like the lunate vs. regular sigma.

That’s good to know. Gratias tibi ago!
