Bravo Markos. It’s difficult to imagine any ancient Greek statesman saying that! And I wonder how he would express or even conceive of infringing “the right of the people.” You shirk that.
Next you might try Scalia, no less, in DC v. Heller:
“We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms. … We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of ‘dangerous and unusual weapons.’”
