Textkit T-Shirt Slogans

hmm.. ookkkaaaayyyy.

looks good, Thomas!

I still think I prefer the original “TV head” as per Paul’s logo and put the “radically nonconfigurational” under the logo or on the other side of the T shirt (or put the “Textkit” logo on the other side). Otherwise there is too much information - Keep It Simple is a very good design rule.

We will just have to make one for Episcopus in a really disgusting colour so he doesn’t get mobbed by sex-crazed women!

I really like “Radically non-configurational”; it should be in bright fiery letters better to convey the ‘radical’ feel.

I also came up with some funny( ) ones:

For the obsessive(like me):

“Born to Read, Parse and Scan”

For the really obsessive geek drunkards(like me):

“Latin, greek, and booze, what the rest can avail us?”

and for the really angry/offensive latinist with a taste for the politically incorrect:(my brother would love it if he knew latin)

“Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo!!!”

I’ve got to say, I really like ThomasGr’s “nothing is indeclinable”…it reminds me of my 4th year Greek prof!

I also like the idea of keeping the original TV head, and then putting “Radically non-configurational” underneath. Rather than fiery letters I would suggest an odd variety of fonts, none of which match!

I love so many of the ideas, I’m not sure how to pick just one. I’ve always liked Paul’s avatar, and Jeff seemed to like it too, which should probably be taken into consideration, esp since he seems to be working furiously behind the scenes at this very moment.

If “Radically non-configurational” is incorporated somehow, I think Matt’s idea about the fonts is very clever. And it could always appear on the back side of the shirt; although, on second thought, that might be more expensive.

I was surprised that Das Inverse Law didn’t come up, unless I missed it. I haven’t studied it in a formal setting, but maybe something like, Textkit: 1/reading translations.

Well it was not my idea, but Fabiola’s.
My contribution is a minor one, for I tried to figure out how one can upload pictures from my computer to the Internet and post them here. It was not a success; I couldn’t find ways how one can cut MSPaint to smaller sizes.

just use a server like http://www.imageshack.us/ and then follow the instructions (that’s what I do since I am typically lazy)

Yes, this has real class! Ideally it should be written in Greek (with a translation below) and a picture of an amphora. (or a bottle of retsina?)

lol yes. I think it’s original, too (haven’t seen it anywhere else).

I was one of the grouches who voted no to t-shirts originally, but I hadn’t yet seen this gem. Super idea. Put me down for two if they are ever made up.

So has anyone actually ran throught the process of how and how much it would be to make a run of these?? I’d be interested to know. I think there is enough interest we could at least do a run of 25 or so.
