Testing

I am testing the Greek font option.

εγσασδδαεσλκσσδιοω λκασδσλ

En0 arxh

τοῦτοποίει
[/code][code]

Code:
τοῦτο ποίει

Spionic doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Do you have a mac?

Thanks for the heads up–I just couldn’t make anything work for putting up a Greek text.

Without a Mac, I guess I’m out of luck.

Talmid,

You don’t need a Mac.

Download a copy of Tavultesoft’s Keyman program. Use it to type directly in Greek Unicode. You’ll have no problems.

SPIonic has been broken for some time now.

Cordially,

Paul Bell

Hi Paul. I downloaded keyman. No problem. I can’t seem to download a keyboard though.
I go to the page where the site directs me to. http://www.tavultesoft.com/keyman/downloads/keyboards/

There I’m able to select a keyboard but I can’t find a way to download one.
I asked in their forum but I have not received a reply yet.
Do you know what I am doing wrong?

hi bert, i couldn’t figure out how to set up keyman either. so i just learned to use the greek keyboard which comes with XP. it’s a bit strange at 1st, after about an hour you get used to it, and once you do, it’s a bit quicker because you only need to press one key for each diacritic combo, ie betacode “a)/” is just “/a”.

you just press alt + shift to flick between english and greek polytonic keyboards.

this is the link i used to set it up:

http://www.biblicalgreek.org/links/fonts/keyboard.html

it’s also good because it works everywhere in windows and in all applications, other than the skype chat window, although it works fine in MSN messenger, and in textkit.

Hi Bert,

Download this keyboard: http://members.aol.com/AtticGreek/GreekClassical.kmp

Install it:

a. start keyman CONFIGURATION program
b. click ‘install keyboard’
c. navigate to install folder
d. select the .kmp file you installed
e. click ‘open’ button

Test it:

a. start keyman program
b. start notepad
c. set notepad font to a unicode font, e.g., (arial unicode ms)
d. toggle on the keyboard; I think that alt+z is the default toggle on; alt+x toggles off. You’ll know it’s on because the keyman icon in Windows status bar turns yellow.
e. type some betacode into notepad. You should see greek.

The only anomalous key assignments are smooth and rough breathings. Instead of ) and (, type ] and [. Also, use keyboard caps (shift+letter) instead of betacode asterisk notation.

Let me know if problems.

Cordially,

Paul

I think I have found it. Oh..I mean; εὕ?ηκα.
Thanks.
