Some pronunciation help, please?

Hello! One of my favourite quotes is ‘Vincit, qui se vincit.’
However, I don’t know how to pronounce it correctly! If somone could
possibly give me a phonetic version of that sentence, I would be grateful!

Thanks!

Either “winkit kwee say winkit” or “winkit kee say winkit”. In the latter case with “kee” sort of at the back of the throat. I’d use the first.

Thanks!

Usually when using Latin phrases in English you should give them the silly English pronunciation of Latin. That would go “veen-chit kee say veen-chit”. Ulpianus’ first recommendation is definitely closer to what Latin actually sounded like though.

Isn’t it “Bis vincit qui se vincit in victoria”?

Twice he conquers who conquers himself in his victory.

Pronounce it this way: Bees VINkeet kwee sáy VINkeet in vikTOria.

That is church Latin..

I think he should use classical.
