Hello, I’m Mei.
I’ve finally joined Textkit after a few months of just lurking and reading posts. I was born in England, although both my parents are immigrants (my mother from Vietnam, and my father from Syria). I am working towards learning both Latin and Greek, although I am prioritising Greek at the moment.
Despite my secondary school offering Latin, it was not a subject I elected to take due to the fact I had to take a modern foreign language for my final exams. I therefore have very little knowledge of either Latin or Greek, something that I hope to remedy.
I have a particular interest in philosophy and would love to be able to read some of my favourite books in their original form. I also like Homer, and it’s been an aim of mine to be able to read the Iliad in Greek.
