Hello everyone, my name is Ron!

I’ve never been very good at introductions so this will probably err on the short side. I’m 26 years old and live in Illinois, USA where I was born and raised. I moved out of state, merely across the way to Indiana, for a couple years before moving back to pursue a career as a chef. Cooking is one of the things that I just like doing! I really appreciate good food, and almost nothing satisfies me more than preparing a delicious dish. While my career is that of a chef, I have a lot of hobbies I like to pursue in my free time – including the study of Latin.

To that end, from what I can tell, I’ve come to the right place; I look forward to chatting with all of you soon, and look forward to chatting with in Latin even more!

As I reviewed my previous post two things became blatantly obvious to me. The first was that I greeted everyone incorrectly! I said Salve, not Salvete. I could apply the argument that I was applying it to the individual as they read it, but that woud not be true to my original intent!

The second thing I noticed is based on the premise of the first; I meant to say farewell to everyone, but used the singular vocative case instead.

I only recently began my Latin studies when my girlfriend, who has known for a while about my interest in the language, saw a copy of LLPSI: Familia Romana at a thrift shop for less than $1 USD and bought it for me as an early Christmas gift.

So please, allow me to correct myself on both accounts!
