Resources For Beginners

Hello everyone!

I joined recently and wanted to share some helpful resources I use to learn Latin:

Dictionary: https://latin-words.com/
Latin texts with helpful commentaries: https://dcc.dickinson.edu/
App for learning conjunctions: Vice Verba

I myself learned about these resources from reading Latin Reddit posts and tips from Wiki How, so I give credit to these people

Don’t forget to get this collection of Latin dictionaries :^)

I actually find Wiktionary to be really good for Latin. It usually contains the etymology, multiple definitions, the word fully conjugated/declined, and sometimes even pronunciation! When Wiktionary fails me, I also like this online Latin/Ancient Greek dictionary: https://logeion.uchicago.edu/.

Latindictionary.io is also a great resource I just found out about. Not only does it have a Latin-English AND English-Latin dictionary with examples from original Latin, but it also has an entire library (including the Aeneid and the Metamorphoses) in which you can double-click on any word to get the definition. In addition, it also has summaries of Latin grammar and even Latin Wordle!
