As for the Dowling Method…well I suppose it takes all kinds. And the proof that it actually works is all the letters that you have demonstrated that you are now capable of writing in polished latin prose without resorting to constantly checking conjugation terminations as I do. I stand in awe.
It would never work though for persons like myself who are ADD and bipolar. Perhaps one day I’ll write my own method called “Tips for the Scattered”. In this method, the students wander around seemingly aimlessly - but with great energy - from flower to flower until finally they’ve gathered enough pollen to produce a nice golden pot of sweet latinity.
