Hello,
I have started to learn Greek mainly because of Plato.. But now, as I have searched a little in the Web, I couldn’t find anything not translated into English or other languages, reading what is not, of course, my goal..
So, does any of you, Good Wise People out there, knows of any place in the Internet which holds some works of this superb philosopher? Some links would be very useful - not only for me, but for the whole future generations of Netsurfing Plato’s Zealots!
Or maybe there is some Pole out there who knows of a place in Poland where one can buy Plato’s works?
I hope there was no similar thread before, I tried to find it and could not.
Thank you,
Chris.
www.perseus.tufts.edu has texts in Greek.
You will have to download a special font, however, (available on the site, I believe) if you want to view the text in Greek lettering. I think you can also view it in unicode and english transliteration.
Thank you, this site is fantastic!
I have no problem with fonts, Unicode works well for me. It is a pity one can not download full texts from the site.. Is there really no other rendition of Plato’s works apart from the Oxford Press? It’s a public domain, the text itself, I believe
You might also want to try the “Bibliotheca Augustana”. It has a nice layout (nicer than Perseus, I think, but not as handy with quick cross-references etc.) and is probably also quite realiable. They also offer other literatures online. For the time being they offer 5 works by Plato.

And very handily in Unicode (with separate accents - display using Palatino Linotype) so you can copy it into word to print it. Thanks - a useful resource indeed! Just what I was looking for!
The Little Sailing site ( http://www.mikrosapoplous.gr/en/texts1en.htm ) offers the texts in Word format (Word 97) already. Also unicode.
Saves you the trouble of copying and pasting

Adelheid
Not bad at all! Much more convenient! I do like Bibliotheca Augustana’s post-classical resources, though. They’re rather special.
