Whose hands? The hands of the Logos, IMHO. This is another proof that the antecedent of ο is τοῦ λόγου.
ἡμῶν ἐψηλάφησαν φησί, προσφέρων τὸ αἱ χεῖρες, ἵν’ᾖ αἱ χεῖρες ἡμῶν ἐψηλάφησαν. τίνος δ’ αἱ χεῖρες; αἱ τοῦ λόγου δηλονότι. καὶ ἰδού, τεκμήριον καὶ ἄλλο ὅτι ὃ πρὸ τοῦ ὅ ὑπακουστέον ἐστὶν οὐδὲν ἄλλο ἐστὶν ἢ τὸ τοῦ λόγου.
Markos, I’m enjoying your interpretation of the lyrics more than anything. I’ve never really thought deeply about the lyrics. I was a teenager in the 90s and the “grunge” music I was heavily into at the time generally had “stream of consciousness” lyrics like the following from Nirvana: “Sell the kids for food, weather changes moods/Spring is hear again, reproductive glands”. I became accustomed to not looking for much meaning (or coherence in general) in lyrics. I did listen to a lot of 60’s and 70’s Classic Rock though because of the influence of my parents (my dad plays guitar and owns some very expensive old guitars from the era). So, I listened to this album many times growing up but never gave much thought to the lyrics. I have a much greater appreciation for it now.
