I the computer I used to have I had the font display for Perseus set at SPIonics.
Now I have it on Unicode. Something is not right though. When I have it set for the unicode with precombined accents, all letters with a diacritical mark of any kind shows up bigger. If I don’t use the precombined accents, little squares show up superimposed over the accented letters.
I wanted to get back to using SPIonics so I downloaded the font but it doesn’t want to display in Perseus. I can use it for instance in a word document so it is installed somewhere. What do I have to do to make it work on Perseus?
That means the default font for your browser doesn’t actually have the full polytonic set, and is grabbing precombined characters from some other font. Textkit works because the forum forces the browser to select from known good candidate fonts first.
What browser and operating system are you using.
Windows XP - Internet Explorer 7.
I have tried Firefox before but it was quite a bit slower starting up but maybe it wouldn’t have this font issue.
Do you have this problem with Perseus 4.0?
