Has anyone used this? I realize that the 1968 version of the OLD is available online (internet archive and perhaps other platforms), but so far I haven’t found a version that is both searchable and legible. Is the Logos version both searchable and legible? (Note that Oxford UP doesn’t sell an electronic version to individuals.). And then there’s, of course, the hard copy, with all the usual downsides of a bulky hard copy dictionary. Except for this access problem, I’m finding the OLD far superior to Lewis & Short, especially for translating poetry.
Thanks very much, but neither of these pages seem to work. The first takes you to a list of dictionaries which doesn’t include the OLD. The second asks you to register, fine, but I’ve been now waiting for a confirmation e-mail for my registration for well over an hour, and, despite repeated requests, haven’t heard anything. Both sites also want donations, fine, but first I have to see whether they work. But thanks again.
(I just Googled “Oxford Latin Dictionary” to find the page). You should see the OLD search tool. Yes, there is a donate button, but donating is optional. I didn’t donate, and used the tool with no problem. Just type in your Latin term and click OK.
