Does anyone happen to know what work has been done (or is being done) on the Tetrapla?
This is a very good question.
There was supposed to have been a colloquium last year at the Phoenix Seminary, but that’s been rescheduled to November this year instead (Google “origen as philologist”). So whilst not Tetrapla-centric, the papers presented are likely to cover something to do with it.
There’s also this year’s The Oxford Handbook of the Septuagint (there’s a preview on Google Books), which again whilst not having anything Tetrapla specific, is likely the most up-to-date discussion on anything Origenic.
You may want to give Peter Gentry an email. Or Drew Longacre of the Old Testament Textual Criticism Blog.
That’s enormously helpful, thanks a lot. Seems I’m a quarter century behind the curve with my interest in this. I’m very much an outsider in these biblical studies, more an interested bystander than anything else, and will probably be staying that way now, but I do appreciate your steering me so well. The Gentry-Meade interview filled me in nicely.
