“Now, it will be performed in the first event of its kind via a free online stream on YouTube. Books 1 to 4 will stream from 9am on the LRB Bookshop YouTube, and Books 5 to 24 will continue at 12 noon on the Jermyn Street Theatre YouTube and run until late that night. The entire reading will remain on YouTube for a week.”

Just listened to the reading of the first book, which is read by 3 actors, each taking a section. Janet Suzman starts it off, reading lines 1-95, followed by Emma Fielding, then Jim Findley. Pulled out my Red Macmillan and followed along. I like how Wilson comes up with a different yet appropriate expression for each instance of πεπνύμενος. I’ve got to get back my own reading in book 12, but will listen to more of this delightful reading later on.
