I must admit I didn’t have time to really browse through the texts in ancient Greek (in latest news if I remember correctly) but this seemed an interesting site
The “Modern Vocabulary” list is good, too, if you ever suddenly decide you want to say “European Union” in Attic, and can’t come up with something yourself.
It’s a neat site; I should visit it more often. I keep wanting to pronounce it Ἄκων. ![]()
Hehe hyptia I wonder why
Annis I hadn’t noticed that part! Thanks for the heads-up. I enjoyed it a lot (especially seeing his solutions to words we have decided just to transcribe, ram a Greek ending after it and be done with it [eg. σοσιαλισμός, ?αδιόφωνο).
I guess I’ll have to contact him to congratulate him (and ask him what is wrong with ασθενοφό?ο for ambulance instead of asthenoúchema, -atos n
) after he comes back from his holidays
Fantastic.
I’ve not been able to keep up with my readings these days..
It happens. Seeing this site tho, I’m very happy to sneak a paragraph here and
there while at work.
Pity his latest post is July 2.
