New site for discussing Greek Lit. in Latin

Salvete

Hey everyone multis itineribus factis I have returned from my year-long, self-imposed exile and period of penance for having behaved rather badly. Right now I am just trying to do some grammar review using Kennedy.

Perusing today some postings on the all-latin list serve (Grex Latine Loquentium), I noticed that one of the members has opened a new site dedicated (as I understand it) to the discussion of greek literature in the latin language. That is, all the postings will be about greek literature but written in latin. For those of you up to something like this (I am not certainly), the link folows.

I remain, Kynetus Valesius, Servus Vester

Subject: [GREX] sodalitas litterarum Graecarum
Rodericus Portella Sanctius sodalibus praesertim Graece scientibus aut
discentibus cunctoque Gregi SPD.
Sodalitatem interretialem Latinam litteris Græcis dicatam modo
condidi, quæ, spero, nonnullorum vestrum intersit:
http://groups.google.com/group/litterae_Graecae/about
Qui velit particeps fiat. Cum nonnulli jam participes in illa
sodalitate sint, epistulas verisimiliter mittere incipiam de scriptis
Graecis quibus in universitate studiorum operam do aliorumque
epistulas magno cum gaudio accipiam cum veniant. Si quis alios novit
quibus res interesset, eos certiorem, quæso, faciat.
Valete quam optime, Latinissime et Græcissime.

I think you need a larger avatar

Okay I have adjusted my avatar … incidentally behind this image lies the interesting story of the English word “Juggernaut”. Hope you like it.

Kynetus

Greetings Kynetus! It is brilliant to hear from you after all this time! Do not be angry that no one writes latin always: there is simply not enough time, but stay tuned to this site for there should be a surprise soon…

Much better…it doesn’t take up my whole screen now!

Glad you’re back, period!
