New member from Russia :)

Hi guys! New to this web-site. I’m from Russia so sorry in advance for my broken English) I’m very interested in finding Original Texts of the Bible. Old and New Testament were translated from Ancient Greek to Old-Slavic by St. Cyril and St. Methodius in the 9th century. I am able to understand Old-Slavic but looking forward to learn Ancient Greek since I have access to the earliest Bible Texts: Codex Sinaiticus (4th century), Codex Alexandrinus (5th century), Codex Vaticanus (4th century) - and they are all in Greek!
I hope to find like-minded people here so we can help each other grow.

With love, Drebbi Nufo.

Welcome, Drebbi Nufo!

I do a good share of my Bible reading with Sinaiticus. It’s extremely readable, and you get a great idea of the habits and limitations of the scribes who put it together. And it gives you different habits of reading attention than modern texts do, with their capitalization, accents, word breaks, and so on.

Hi there! Nice to meet you! I’m studying Ancient Greek, and I’m Russian too. Although my main interest is philosophy, I enjoy reading Greek NT as well.
