It seems Wheelock’s is just too much for me, so I’m moving to D’ooge. I’ll maybe see you over there ![]()
Have you thought of using Lingua Latina per se illustrata? D’ooge is simply awful from what I have seen.
The thing is, it just needs to be interesting. I’m not afraid of hard work, but wheelock was wearing me down.
Found this: https://www.amazon.es/Lingua-latina-illustrata-familia-romana/dp/8493579858
The comments are all in Spanish, but they say the book is written entirely in Latin. Is that true? Or are there versions for different native languages?
Try looking here. https://www.hackettpublishing.com/lingua-latina-per-se-illustrata-series
Also there are some recordings on YouTube eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zt19wzsW-c&list=PLU1WuLg45SiyrXahjvFahDuA060P487pV&index=4
This is a video giving an overview of the lingua Latina series

I highly recommend this series even though I learned Latin through a more traditional route.
Thanks. All bookmarked and the first book ordered.
