Marcus Aurelius wrote his book in Greek? I didn’t know that. I would have thought that a late 2nd century Roman emperor would have used Latin instead of Greek. Did any of the Roman emperors write in Latin instead of Greek? Or did they all write in Greek up to and including when ruling authority moved to Byzantium?
