A tip for any Mac users who want to include macrons. Just set your keyboard layout to Maori and type alt (option) + the vowel, and boom! Macrons. Jūst dōn’t ōvērdō īt… 
I’ve noticed, however, that that you can’t do -y- that way. Does anybody know a workaround for that?
