Salvete, Latinists!
I’ve put together a little web tool that helps make all that student dictionary fumbling a rare treat rather than an onerous burden.
Paste or type in your Latin text, and each word will be hyperlinked linked into a dictionary. You can quickly look up unkown words, which will be compiled into a vocabulary list as you click on each one. If you all know how slow the Perseus Project can be, this site works around it. It uses a faster edition of the Perseus dictionary, among others.
The main page with full instructions is at http://www.semi-fluent.com
The specific Latin page is at http://www.semi-fluent.com/latin/index.php
I want to incorporate Greek dictionaries soon, but the variety of fonts makes this task look cumbersome. Any information on classical Greek internet standards would be welcome.
The site also supports most major Western European languages, especially those dialects of poorly pronounced provincial Latin. In addition to Latin studies, I use the site to read the Italian news.
I hope you all find these links helpful.
