Koller's Orbis Pictus Latinus

I recently stumbled across this in a university library. It’s a pictorial dictionary of latin. I never heard of it before, but it looks like it would mesh well with Orberg’s LLPSI. Even the style of illustration looks similar.

Cannot find a preview of the Koller’s book, is it very different from other illustrated Latin dictionaries, such as The illustrated companion to the Latin dictionary and Greek lexicon (Rich, 1849) or is more like Orbis sensualium pictus by Comenius?

I haven’t seen one but would like to.

I own a copy. It is a short iillustrated dictionary of Graeco-Roman and medieaval objects, concepts, mythological figures, etc. Interesting oddity.

Transcript of “A Smaller Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities” (William Smith, 1884) is in the final stage since 2014. I wish one hero could complete it…

The previous release of Koller’s Orbis Pictus Latinus has a preview option on amazon.de.

A few pages of the 1998 edition of Koller’s Orbis Pictus Latinus (ISBN 3760812082) can be seen in the product photos in this listing on a Czech used-books site (knihobot.cz). I made an archive.org copy of the listing but the four product photos aren’t visible in the archived copy, probably due to Javascript issues. So here are the archived product photos linked directly:

Here they are embedded:

It is available at archive org in pdf format:
