I’m looking for a copy of the Key for “Elements of Latin”. For those who don’t know, this is the revision of “Latin for Beginners” that D’ooge wrote in the 1920’s. In many ways it is a second edition, though he felt there were enough differences to warrant the new title.
There are old posts on this forum from 2009 and earlier referring to some members having a key. There is even a website linked on one post to download a pdf but it is now defunct. I’m wondering if there is any chance that someone out there still has access to a copy. My attempt to find it through interlibrary loan has been unsuccessful since the only library with a copy (Harvard) would not circulate it or make a scan for me. I even talked to the archives that holds his collected papers but they did not have a copy (nor did they have a copy of the Latin for Beginner’s key either in case people were wondering).
Apologies for the necro-post but I didn’t see the need to post a separate inquiry…
Just curious to see if there was ever any follow-up to this since all of the old URLs seem to be dead/non-functioning? Any suggestions from those in the know source-wise (PMs welcome - hint, hint Interaxus…your PMs are either turned off or your Inbox is full )?
Thank you and hope all is well with your respective studies.
I am also interested in obtaining the key for D’Ooge’s Elements of Latin. If you can forward the key, or provide another source for the key, I’d appreciate it greatly. Thank you.
