I worked today on excercise 257,
each one is more difficult: :blush: :blush:
I worked on sentence order.
I just wanna be sure If I understood well…

We feel grateful with the old man.

  1. τῷ γέ?οντι χά?ιν ἔχομεν.
    At night they ceased from battle.
  2. τῇ νυκτὶ τοῦ πόλεμου κατέλειψαν.
    Cyrus had twenty chariots
  3. Κῦ?ος ἄ?ματα εἴκοσι εἴχε.
    The bowmen shot birds and wild asses on the plain.
  4. οἱ τοξόται ?ν τῷ πεδίῳ ὄ?νιθας καὶ ὄνους ἄγ?ιους ?τόξευαν.
    The army was cut to pieces by the barbarians.
  5. κατακέκοπται τῇ στ?ατιᾷ οἱ βά?βα?οι.

  2. τῇ νυκτὶ τοῦ πόλεμου κατέλειψαν.
    Rather : τῆς νυκτὸς (see 256) ?πα?σαντο (< πα?ομαι with the Gen., see 189 and 849) τῆς μάχης.
    Cyrus had twenty chariots
  3. Κῦ?ος ἄ?ματα εἴκοσιν εἶχεν. (I modified the accent on εἶχεν)

  4. οἱ τοξόται ?ν τῷ πεδίῳ ὄ?νιθας καὶ ὄνους ἀγ?ίους ?τόξευσαν.
    The army was cut to pieces by the barbarians.
  5. κατακέκοπται τῇ στ?ατιᾷ οἱ βά?βα?οι.
    I would say : κατεκόπη (aorist passive) ἡ στ?ατιὰ (subject) ὑπὸ τῶν βα?βά?ων (agent)
