Section Six B, p. 66
ἀλλά διἁ τί οὐκ ἀπάγειϛ ταύτην ἀφʹ ἡμῶν πόρρω πάνυ;
Does ἀφʹ stand for ἀφαιρέω (ἀφελ-) = remove, take away from?
. . . drag this away from us . . . (JACT translation)
Is it meant to reinforce ἀπάγειϛ ?

It’s the preposition ἀπό. The final ο has been elided, as the next word starts with a vowel. The rough breathing turns the π into a φ.
I thought I was wrong. Should have known that!! Many thanks for your help!
