i dont know how to type it in some positions: i have only these combinations in win 10 word : ᾷ ᾲ ᾂ ᾆ ᾳ the other seven are not working from the keyboard but only from on-screen keyboard ᾴ ᾇ ᾃ ᾷ ᾀ ᾃ ᾁ etc.
I would appreciate your help.
I use GreekKeys, and highly recommend it.
(And shouldn’t that be iota subscriptum?)
of course, sorry
ᾷ ᾲ ᾂ ᾆ ᾳ
ᾷ - right-alt + [
ᾲ - right-alt + ]
ᾂ - right-alt +
ᾆ - right-alt + =
ᾳ - shift + [
ᾴ ᾇ ᾃ ᾷ ᾀ ᾃ ᾁ etc.
ᾴ - right-alt + q
ᾇ - shift + right-alt + =
ᾃ - shift + right-alt +
ᾷ - right-alt + [
ᾀ - right-alt + ’
ᾃ - shift + right-alt +
ᾁ - shift + right-alt + ’
yes i know but these combinations dont work from my keyboard, only from on screen keyboard
Strange. I typed that up on my keyboard on Windows 10. Make sure that you use the alt button on the right side and not on the left side. Left side alt will make the rest of the character, but not the iota subscript.
I had a keyboard once (Mac) that had an electronic problem with certain 3-button combinations. Design issue. I worked at Apple at the time and filed a ticket with the team, but the problem was still around years later.
ᾳ ᾷ ᾲ ᾆ ᾅ ᾄ ᾂ ᾇ ᾀ ᾁ ᾴ ᾅ strangely enough, they all work here from my keyboard but in my word documents, only five or six of them work.
Hi all, I just avoid this by typing (and handwriting) iota adscript rather than subscript. Quite a few classical editions now take this approach. Cheers, Chad
