Hi all,
You can call me by my username (I’d rather not disclose my real name), and I am a Latin learner who have been reading this language for a few years and a beginner in ancient Greek (I’ve finished an introductory book but still haven’t read much.) As of now my reading interest is Cicero and early Latin fathers (such as the Confessions of St. Augustine and the Vulgate of St.Jerome). I am also interested in early modern New Latin which is very helpful in extending my knowledge in early modern Western philosophy and literature.
I am a reader in Classical Chinese (my native language is Mandarin) and would be happy to engage in inter-classical-language discussions.
For modern languages besides English, I am also proficient in German and French. I am also learning Russian as I have an interest in the Communist movement. I also have a basic reading knowledge of Italian, mainly did this for reading the Divine Comedy in the original (I’ve read it in English and so far have read a few Cantos in Italian.), which wasn’t really difficult for me as Italian is also a Romance language.
Best!
