Hi, I’m Hefty. I’ve been self-learning Attic Greek for about two years. I find it very hard-going, especially because up until recently I’ve just been using the grammar-translation method. I’ve since begun to supplement it with Athenaze. I’m joining because I often have problems with my exercises. Normally my problems are simple, but it’s hard to know why unless one has a fresh pair of eyes.
I dabbled in Latin, but didn’t like it. I’m fascinated by the Ancient Greeks (particularly their philosophy), so I decided to learn Greek. Depending on several factors, I’ll be doing a bachelor’s in Greek Philology in several years (just for fun, but if it’s still fun afterwards, I’ll pursue a master’s and doctorate.
