I’m just beginning to study Latin again (I studied it in high school, but that was a long time ago), and I intend to study ancient Greek as well. And possibly Hebrew and/or medieval Arabic. We’ll see. 
I love studying new languages, but I actually have a very particular reason for doing so this time. I’m designing a magic school (as in a school for teaching the esoteric arts), and I’m realizing that I need to supplement the Western-based magical curriculum I’m using with a secular education based on the old Western Classical Education. The first step in most versions of that education throughout our history is to learn Latin. I’m putting myself through my own curriculum as I design it in order to test it, so I’m learning Latin!
I also have a few hapless friends who have decided they want to try out my curriculum, too, so I’m actually teaching them Latin as I’m learning it. I’m really only a step or two ahead of them, so it’s an interesting journey!
