If I were to translate a paragraph from 38 Latin Stories and post my translation along with the Latin form from the book without accents, macrons and such, would the people who know Latin be ok to check over it still? I’m not sure how to type the accents over my letters on the keyboard, so it would just be plain spelling. I just wish the book would have the English translations of every practise paragraph in the back. So anyway, it’d still be correctable over these forums without the accents?
The macrons should not make a difference, they are only a guide for pronunciation. I think most of us, myself included, prefer to read Latin closer to the way the Romans actually wrote it, without any markings for pronunciation.
Great, it’s not like I can bring everything to my prof. to look over, since they only have like one hour a week when you can go to them for help, and then it’s usually the T.A. anyway. I just started taking Latin this semester and you would not believe how happy I was today when I found this forum. Anyway, I don’t have the translation right now, but it’ll be posted in the the near future.

It’s a sad situation, isn’t it?
I sometimes wonder why I pay $300 for a three credit hour course, or about $580 for a six credit hour course. Mind you my Latin prof is not bad, she’s British so she has a cool accent, plus she’s super nice. But even if I wanted to book time for help it would have to be with the T.A.
