I don’t understand the translation of the LOEB from this sentence of Herodotus’ Histories:

“ὦ ξεῖν᾿, ἀγγέλλειν Λακεδαιμονίοις ὅτι τῇδε
κείμεθα τοῖς κείνων ῥήμασι πειθόμενοι.” (Book VII, 228)

“Go tell the Spartans, thou that passest by,
That here obedient to their words we lie.”

What are the Greek words for “Go tell”, “obedient”, their words", and what are the equivalences for κείμεθα, ῥήμασι and πειθόμενοι?

Go tell = ἀγγέλλειν, in poetry the Greeks would use infinitive for imperative

obedient = πειθόμενοι

their words = τοῖς κείνων ῥήμασι (ῥήμασι is words, from ῥῆμα)
