You should refer to the poem as the Aeneid unless you’re writing in Latin (or Greek). In English, pronunciation runs as follows:
Aeneas (the character): uh-NEE-us
Aeneid (the work): uh-NEE-ud
As for spelling the august(an) poet’s name, well… you should see this thread.
My opinion should be pretty obvious there.
