How far does Lingua Latina take you? (See inside)

Salve!

I understand Lingua Latina is more reading method than traditional grammar-based.
But I’d like to ask how far Lingua Latina (assuming you buy all the books) will take you
as compared to a more traditional high school or college I-IV 4 year course.

Lingua Latina, Pars I: Familia Romana followed by Lingua Latina, Pars II: Roma Aeterna are about exactly equivalent to four years of high school Latin. It’s just, as you note, a very different approach to the same material (LL covers grammar just as much as any other textbook).
