Help locating a source

Hello!

I came across the following quotation attributed to Hesiod, but I have been unable to track it down. Another few places suggested its a fragment from Heraclitus, but I haven’t been able to verify that either. I have tried several different searches and have begun to suspect that it is spurious. Any help would be much appreciated!

It starts nicely but then falls to pieces.

No hits in TLG. Probably ChatGPT gibberish but it does look a bit like Theognis, e.g.
