Hello - I'm new here.

Hello to All,

I’m new here, and during my registration, I was directed to post about myself, so here we all are.

I don’t know anything about Latin or Greek, although I was just beginning to take up the study of Koine Greek when I ran into more than one reference that led me to believe that by studying Classical Greek I would also be able to deal with New Testament Koine readings efficiently. In addition to that, I would like to be able to read some mathematics works of old in Greek. I have several Greek grammars in my Logos software library including From Alpha to Omega by Anne Groton, which I understand to be a Classical Greek Grammar. I’m not sure of what Lexicon/Dictionary would be the recommended one as of yet or if there is a more preferred grammar.

Anyway, I’m somewhat old, chair bound for the most part due to disability, half-deaf from working around sizeable noisy machinery for decades, and I love animals.

Thank you kindly for allowing me to join and participate here on your forum.

Michael

Welcome, Michael. Henry George Liddell, Robert Scott, An Intermediate Greek-English Lexicon was recommended to me to begin with.

Hello bedwere,

Thank you for pointing the way for me. I checked the shelves, and I don’t have it there, but I do have it in Logos. I made a reminder to order a physical copy sometime soon.

Thanks for the welcome as well. I’m looking forward to learning a lot here.
