Hello fellow textkitters.
New guy here. My name is Jay. I have an undergrad degree in Romance Languages and Linguistics from Uppsala Universitet in Sweden (1982), and have dabbled in Latin, as well as several other mostly European languages. I have flirted with Latin and ancient Greek off and on since my university days. And am now making use of my free time during the pandemic to follow the online version of Familia Romana.
I am also interested in Natural Language Processing, especially from a word frequency angle. And text manipulation in Linux. Although I do have some IT experience, I’m not a programmer.
