Hello All

I am looking for a book dedicated to the listing of greek verbs and their principal parts. Is their such a creature?

thank you in advance for any assistance.

Brian

Maybe one of the two books on this page is what you are looking for.

A good dictionary, I should think.

Marione’s is the first stop - then on to the dictionary.

I think that All the Greek Verbs lists the verbs in declined form. So, for example, if you run across the form ἦλθον and didn’t know what it was, you could look it up there and it would refer you to ἔρχομαι . But if you look up ἔρχομαι it will not list the principle parts. (If I am mistaken, please correct me.)

The little Liddell and Scott Lexicon lists the principle parts of verbs, along with definitions. The little one is probably all you need, unless you are a heavy duty scholar (or you just like really big books).

I’m curious about that book by Marione. What’s in it?
