I had learnt in high school a long time ago how to handwrite Greek characters. Some of them are different in handwriting than in printed letters. Does anyone have link where I can see the Greek alfabet in handwriting? I forgot how to write a few letters.
Here is the difference in the shape between the printed theta and the handwritten one. (It doesn’t look very well, because I am not good in writing with my mouse cursor. ) This is how we learnt it, there are probably more ways to write this letter.
Greek has a nice image of handwritten Greek with wee arrows for writing direction. I write the delta, rho and non-final sigma oppositely, but which hardly matters since I’m not writing with a quill (with which drawing up is a problem).

I write the round theta myself. I also write the delta like you guys. I write the Pho the same way…opposite of how they show. My Kappa is also a little different than they have. I write it like a V with the left branch being straight up and down, and then I write a left slash coming off the right leg of the V…does that make sense (I guess the best way to put it is it looks like a Nu with a leg)?? I saw it written like that in an old document and I liked it for both it’s odd look and it’s relative ease to write. For the record I write the Eta with two humps.
Sorry it’s taken me a while - I realise I can’t get access to my webspace from where I am now, so I won’t be able to post the scanned pages for a while unless someone else can host them for me. Apologies.
I’ve never seen any guide to Greek handwriting suggesting writing rho and delta like on that site. I write lambda with just two straight lines; I used to put the flourishes on it, but I felt that they were a hassle.
I write lowercase non-final sigma starting at the top of the loop, drawing the loop counterclockwise, and then finishing with the line (a style I made up myself). I never liked either of the other two ways of doing it.
